Eilers & Wheeler is proud to be the UK distributor of Canadian Cheddar from Agropur Co-operative.

  • Using milk drawn from the wide, open spaces of the St Lawrence Valley in Quebec, Agropur’s master cheese makers produce one of the finest cheddars in the world.
  • This unique tasting cheese is matured for at least two years to Extra Mature or three years to Vintage, producing a real champagne of cheeses that has deservedly earned the title of World’s Best Aged Cheddar.
  • Agropur’s cheddar has been available through quality retailers for many years in the UK. In 2006, we launched its Canadian Reserve Vintage cheddar brand, which has rapidly established a loyal consumer base.

Canadian Reserve cheddar is made from gently heat-treated milk, using a time-honoured recipe, which allows the development of natural flavours during maturing. 

The cheese is skillfully graded and selected during the ageing process to ensure it develops the characteristics of a future champion.
